In Loving Memory of Scott Oldenburg (HSO) and Michael Nasser (MN)

Uncle Scott's Steakhouse is a living tribute to an "uncle" and to a grandfather and it is a place
to celebrate friends and community.

Do you know anyone who immediately made you feel welcome, safe, significant, liked, loved, trusted and encouraged within the first minute you met them?  Is that person willing to walk in your shoes and put your needs ahead of their own? Does that person achieve greatness and great things quietly and by their own hand but celebrate the successes of others without the mention of theirs?  Does that person do right by everyone all of the time?  If so, we hope you celebrate life with them every day.

To all who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him, this is a description of Scott Oldenburg.  Our children had the pleasure of calling him "Uncle Scott" and his Goddaughter named this restaurant after him.  Learning of that made him smile, as he did all of us on so many occasions.  We honor Scott, his legacies and his value of friendship and of community with our efforts in this establishment.

Uncle Scott's Steakhouse is also the realization of a dream that began with a childhood visit to a grandfather's tavern in Charleston, WV.  Michael Nasser (aka. "Papaw Mike") emigrated from Lebanon in search of the American Dream in 1918.  He owned a variety of businesses during his lifetime including a tavern called "Bargain Corner" where he traded beer and food for a variety of goods/animals in lieu of money.  Several of our beer signs are from Bargain Corner and we honor Mike, his passion to be an American, his sense of community, and his entrepreneurial spirit.

Thank you for visiting our website and we hope to see you soon.  It matters to us when you choose to dine at Uncle Scott's Steakhouse and we want to show that in everything we do.  Our aim is to be one of your favorite places away from home.  Please enjoy!
